He completed his training and one year of research in general surgery at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. His colon/rectal fellowship was completed at Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Bowers is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
